Play With Light
Always remember to just go out of your comfort zone and play with the light. Get out there and push yourself. Sometimes we like to get in our comfort zone and just coast along.
Lets strive to be better and get to that next level!

I use my Apple iPhone 4 to shoot a lot of images in my spare time. Which is now slim to none with a new born. It is great to always have a camera on you and there are so many apps that you can get to process your images in any which way you want. I thought it would be a good time as any to show what apps I use for processing my images.
Out of them all my go to all the time image app would be Instagram. As you can see in my Insatgram Gallery I kind of use it a lot. This is a great new social media app and I have really enjoyed the community that are on this app. It is a mix of your picture feed from Facebook with the constant updates like Twitter. So much fun to see how everyone goes about their days and to live along side them and to show them your life.
For processing I really like to use the program PictureShow. I have always loved shooting with my Holga film camera and this app helps me get that look and feel for most of my images. It has a great options to watermark your images or just to add some kind of text.
Hipstamatic is my first photography app and I tend to just use it randomly but not all the time. I do recommend it for all to use though.
If you want to add more then one image at a time to be viewed in apps or tweets I hihgly recommend DipTic for some really cool collage options and border options for images.
A new one that has come out is the VSCO Cam app. It greats some great old film style effects to the images and to me the best way to explain it to someone is that it makes your images look like they are for an Urban Outfitters shoot. I admit I join the bandwagon when it comes to some of these apps and then add my twist to the edits. I just like trying new things to see if it is something that works. And whats the worse thing, I paid $0.99. Oh well.
All in all, If you have an app you like let me know and I'll be more then happy to try it out. For now I hope this posts helps any new iPhone photographers. Enjoy painting with light everyone!
"And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed."
Mark 1:35 (KJV)
You should start off every morning saying "Thank you God" instead of "O' God, is it morning already?" Some people will say that it just is to hard to do that some mornings, when that just means they have let the sun set on their anger. THat does not mean you go to sleep raging against your pillow, but rather you have some issue or something you are just not letting go from your day. You need to always end your end with everything completed and a prayer to God.
When you wake up each morning thanking God for the new breath and new day you can start to see the beauty in everything out there. Nothing helps me at least with my creativity more than waking up positive every morning. Don't get me wrong, I hit the snooze button like anyone else at 5am, but I do it with a smile in my heart. Just remember that all things will pass and God has already created a way out of whatever problem you see in your life right now.
Keep a smile on that beautiful face and know that God loves you.
"In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry. and do not give the devil a foothold."
Ephesians 4:26-27
Hey All! Thank you all so much for the support and prayers. We love you all! If you want to keep following Royal and his new adventures now that he is home please feel free to check it out at www.RoyalMaxHolliday.com.
Thank you all again so much!
Baby Royal Max Holliday. Born Feb 29 at 3:22am. As of today he is 15 days young and is in the NICU. He was not eating or breathing well on his own. I didn't want to post pictures of him plugged up to the many machines he was on when he was first born. He is doing better and better everyday and will have the breathing assistance out today God willing. It's so hard not having him home with us though the nurses at the hospital are so great and they treat him like their own son.
I ask you all to keep baby Royal, Xindy and me in your prayers.
We know our little boy is in God's hands and will be coming home soon.
Thank you so much.
For the past month it has been a whirl wind of emotion and haze of each day passing. We first moved into a wonderful new apartment that we were blessed with being able to afford, then the baby shower, and waiting for all the last minute items to get here for Baby Royal's room. We are coming up on the due date and I can not wait for this little guy to be here. All the adventures we will have and just knowing all the firsts he will have makes me so happy.
I thank God every day for blessing me with this miracle along with all the friends and family that will be here for this little guy. Always remember to count your blessing and do not forget to thank Him each and every day for them.
Every good and perfect gift comes from above... - James 1:17
It is so great to spend this time with the family. I love the memories that are being made and the joy on the kid's faces. Since they are younger of course they are prone to melt downs.

Kids are the future. This I am a strong believer of and hold true every day.
We just need to remember to teach them from our mistakes.
This Holiday season enjoy the time with your family and create the memories you can all share for years to come.
Happy Holidays from The Hollidays!

Some of you may already know, but this is the greatest new I can share. I am going to be a father. Once you here the words from your loved one that you are going to be a parent, all the small things that bother you and you stress about all melt away. It's no longer about you, it is all about that little baby you made.
We are having a boy and he is due around March 3rd, 2012.
Royal Max Holliday he shall be called and he will be the greatest.
Sometimes just looking up or just looking down with strike inspiration.
Whoever did these chalk statements around Redondo Beach put a smile on my face.
